Unscripted #139

Hi, it seems like forever since I posted on my blog.  With the holidays and the flu, I sort of got bogged down.  Add working 12 hour days and I have been very neglectful.  But, it is New Year's and I have made myself a promised to post daily.

Today I have my DT sample for the  Unscripted Sketches Challenge this week.  The sketch is a very simple one and therefor easy to get ideas from.  I used the plaid technique and springy colours to create my card.

I also rotated the sketch.  I do not very often use pinks on my projects but, since I had some on hand, thought I would give it a try.

The other ladies on the team came up with some really lovely samples and I hope you will visit Unscripted Sketches to check them out.  The members of our DT are a very talented group.

Try Stampin' #45

Hi, and happy Tuesday!  I do not know how I did it but I forgot to post my card for Try Stampin' On Tuesday this morning.  Silly me!
Well, here it is - an MDS card.  I love using MDS.  Just love the versatility of this tool.

I really  enjoy the ease of MDS and all the cool things you can do with it.

As you can see, our sketch this week is a simple one.  I hope you can take the time from your busy pre-holiday preparations to create a card for our challenge.

Unscripted Sketches#136

Happy December 10th (2 weeks to go)!  Today I have the card I made as my design team sample at Unscripted Sketches this week.  For my card, I decided to do a traditional Christmas card.  I do not usually do "old-fashioned" but am very happy with this result.

It was very quick to go together and, as I promised the other day, I dug into my stash to create it.  Every single item I used (except the card base and the embellishment) came from there.  Pat myself on the back!

Try Stampin' #44

Hello!
My design team card for Try Stampin' On Tuesday this week came straight from my scrap bin.  The contents of that box seem to keep growing and growing.   I do not know why, but I always find it so much easier to grab a new piece of paper or cardstock than to dive in and go fishing.  Well, that is going to change.  I made up my mind that all of my projects in the near future will include some of these leftovers on them.

Here is this week's card:

I decided that I would create a whimsical, cheery Christmas card since I have loved those little reindeer from the moment I purchased the "Sparkly and Bright" stamp set a couple of years ago.  To use some scraps, I needed to leave my comfort zone and combine patterns - something I am not very good at.  But I think everything really worked together.

Unscripted #135

Hi!  Today I have my dt card for the challenge at Unscripted Sketches.  It is a hybrid card with the base being created with My Digital Studio.  I then added the buttons and the santa which I stamped and punched out.
