Try Stampin' #60

Hi to everyone!
It is Tuesday so that means another challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  This week, we have another sketch from Jenn - and it is a good one.
In true fashion, my card is a bit different than most.  I used a mixed media technique on the background.  To begin with, I spread some gesso on a piece of plastic and then used some older, discontinued stamps to stamp  with the gesso on white card stock.  When it dried, I took inks in red, orange and yellow and sponged several layers over the entire piece, blending very well.  Lastly I wiped the background with a rag to remove a bit of the residual ink from the gesso.
My "tag" shape is cut out of fun foam and then stamped with VersaMark and embossed in orange.  The little pearls are white ones which I coloured with markers.
I hope to do a video of this card later today so I hope you tune in then to see it.  It is really a fun technique and gives a very cool effect.
Please visit Try Stampin' this week to see the designs by the team and I hope you will give our challenge a try.
Thanks for visiting!
