Hey everyone! Happy Independence Day to my American readers. To the rest - Happy Wednesday!
Today I have my example for the challenge at LateNite Stampers - to use something recycled on our project. This challenge is near and dear to my heart - I recycle and reuse all the time.
This is what I came up with:
It is a CD picture album, this one with a Halloween twist. I was going through photos the other day and I could not believe how many I have of the kids when they were little. So I need somewhere to put them. Hence the Halloween theme.
I used 6 old CDs, covered them in DSP and then used my drill press to drill holes in them. (A Crop-a-dile would work as well) Then I cut out letters and the witch images from Wicked Cool and glued them on the pattern I chose for the front cover. I could not find my googly eyes so I used two black pearls for embellishment. To hold the "pages" together, I used a 1" binder ring and then tied several ribbons on it. I did not decorate the pages yet since I want to pick the photos for each page and embellish accordingly.
Hope this encourages you to try either a CD album or another project using recycled "stuff".
Bye for now!!
What a great project. Halloween is closer than you think. You'll be all prepared.
ReplyDeleteWonderful way to use up those old CD's! Love this idea.
ReplyDeleteI am sure we all have some of those lying around, great idea to put them to use!
ReplyDeleteHow deliciously creative you are, CherylAnn! You have not only created something with "upcycled" tiems, but your have created something FUNCTIONAL! This is definitely a win-win project! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! What a fun little album to keep all those pictures in. I love Halloween pictures, too bad my son is not really into it any more.
