The best thing happened today - one of my fellow employees came to work even though he was not scheduled so I volunteered and got to go home. Hooray!!!
So I have time to do some painting - lucky me.
But back to my post...........
Our challenge at Late Nite Stampers this week is to create a 3-D ornament. Well, I kind of cheated but I love the result.
I used a clear glass ornament and then embellished it. I mixed 1/2 Crystal Effects and 1/2 water and then swirled it inside the ornament. Then I spooned in some Dazzling Diamonds and rotated the ball until the entire inside was coated and shimmery. I emptied out the excess and then left it to dry. Then I used Stazon ink and a flexible stamp (it cannot be wood mounted as it has to bend around the ornament) without the acrylic block and stamped Santas around it (I spaced it so I did 3 Santas). Then, I set it to dry for about an hour - it takes longer on glass and I did not want it to smudge. Then I put the hanger back in the top and that was it. Hope you like it!
Have a great day!
Great ornament. Thanks for the directions. I love the stamping on the outside and using a purchased glass ball is not cheating. P.S. I did the same thing - use a purchased ball so don't feel you are alone.
