Hi to everyone!
LateNiteStampers Weekly Challenge #213 has spring in mind. We are all getting a bit weary of winter and are anxious for the longer, sunnier days of spring. With this in mind, our challenge this week is to use floral stamps to create a card or other project.
I decided to use the same plaid background stamp as last week but this time in the main image. I stamped on white using Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Island Indigo on the stamp. Then, using the Navy, I stamped a flower outline from a retired stamp set on the new plaid paper I created. I stamped two flowers and cut them out.
The card base is Daffodil Delight and the blue layers are Not Quite Navy. I scalloped the bottoms of each layer and then tied ribbon around the top yellow and blue layers.
Using another retired stamp, I stamped the little birds in Not Quite Navy. I also stamped the two stems with the same ink. All that was left was to add the sentiment and a pearl on the bow and to adhere the flowers to the card front. Very simple!
Please visit LNStampers Challenge Blog this week and give our challenge a try.
Thanks for stopping by!
